Thank you to everyone involved in our Parents' Information Session & Morning Tea held last Thursday morning. What a success it was!
The day was bleak and rainy, but the warmth that radiated from the more than 100 people who came along to meet new parents and catch up with old friends, under the cover of the After-School-Care pergola and our school marquees, ensured that for two hours our committee members chatted one-on-one with parents to inform, recruit and welcome. |

Did you know there is Silver in X-Rays?
Did you know that we can raise money for our school by having our old X-Rays that we no longer need recycled?
Are you wondering what to do with all the old X-Rays that are cluttering up your cupboards?
We are piloting a service being offered to schools for families to easily and safely dispose of their old X-ray films by bringing them to school and putting them in the security bin where they will then be taken and recycled by taking out the materials that are harmful to the planet and extracting the silver that is contained in each x-ray and putting this back into circulation to be used again.
The school will be paid a % of the value of the silver that is extracted from the film.
As a result, everyone gets an outcome! The planet, the school and your parents who have X-Rays cluttering up cupboards at home.
When and where:
The bin is located outside Mrs Stewart's office. We encourage everyone to use this opportunity to dispose of your films.
All funds received will be given to the SRC to decide how best to spend the money within the school. |

We run a charity program that has been running for 8 years now. We will collect your unwanted, working or not working, computer equipment, refurbish it then donate it out to the needy. If you organise a street or neighbourhood computer, mobile phones, laptops, camera etc. collection, we will come out and pick it up free of charge.
Check out the website: www.computersforyoungandold.com.au or contact Bruno on 040403517. |
