Lindfield Public School Parents and Citizens Association

This Program has been operating at Lindfield under the guidance of the Music Committee since 1979. For many years our Program has had an enviable reputation throughout Sydney and New South Wales.

Band membership is open to all interested students in Years 3-6. There are three Bands at LPS – Junior, Intermediate and Concert and each Band rehearses twice each week before and after School in the Hall and all students have a 30 minute private instrumental tutorial each week after School. Each year all Band members attend a 2 day Music Camp with members of the Strings Program and all Bands participate in various competitions and public performances within the School and in the general community during the year.

The Band Committee has the task of managing about 120 children, 3 conductors and numerous Instrument Tutors across the 3 Bands. The Committee meets twice per Term on alternate Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2.00 pm in the Staffroom and all interested people are welcome to attend.
